Unforgettable Gifts: Memorable Things Worth Giving (or Keeping for yourself)
I recently made custom undies for 2 of my Leo girlfriends & I’m so proud of how they turned out. simple, but stitched with thought. Once you’ve found the perfect pair, you can either embroider them yourself or take them to a local mom&pop shop. Add a <3 , a crush’s name, their nickname…whatever detail feels cheeky & personal. They can obviously be worn…but would be just as cute framed or draped across a vanity.
Maybe it’s their favorite designer, a 2000s campaign they’ve pinned a hundred times, or that Juergen Teller x Sofia Coppola Marc Jacobs ad. Chances are, it’s on eBay for under $15. Vintage print ads make the chicest (and cheapest) gift. But plz, go through the extra step of buying a cute frame for it.
One of my most recent gifts was this Mazzy Star CD I gave to my husband for our anniversary (since I walked down the aisle to Fade Into You.) Maybe its there Fav album, a memory, or create them a personal playlist & burn your own CD fr them. For dramatic effect you can buy them the CD player if needed.
I would adore this gift, which is why I know it’s a good one. You could do a dainty classic or a vintage moment. Print out their celebrity crush or a little puppy pug photo, it’s personal & precious.
My personal favorite gift idea: hunt down a glossy archival mag from the exact month & year they were born. Nothing hits quite like flipping through the pages of a Vogue that literally shared a bday with you. & if you’re sick like me you’ll spend hours tracking down pieces from the ad spreads.
A vintage compact mirror is small but glamorous. Pair it with a lipstick or gloss you’ve picked out for them & suddenly a simple beauty gift becomes a keepsake. Chic, personal & just the right amount of drama.
